"The Great Falling Away," will be the first in a three-part series examining what the Bible tells us about deception, genuine repentance, and revival. In part one of our series, we will explore Paul's instruction to Timothy, in which he prophesies an end-time apostasy - a falling away from scriptural truth. 1 Tim. 4:1 states, "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons." Paul also cautioned not to "turn to another Gospel or a different Jesus." (2 Cor. 11:4). We will compare documented early church heresies with modern church doctrine and see if the Gospel message and the Jesus presented today match up with the same Jesus that Paul and the other disciples taught.
